THE ARCHEOLOGY
A TEST OF CREATIVE INTUITION - Our intention is to correlate these designs and reconstructions of the film set with the actual archeological discoveries. We hope to test the validity of our research and our graphic evidence with the real on site discoveries. While based on extensive research our plans and diagrams are of course born out of the creative mind of the film designer and his creative intuition. Only time will tell how close these film fantasies mirror the actual archeological discoveries and how closely our designs reflect the actual location of the burial chamber and the treasure vault (should they exist). In examining this data it is clear that a significant portion of the design was based on research, which begins its story deep in a treasure vault within Cleopatra’s Burial Chamber. Legend has it that it was Cleopatra’s intention to be buried at the side of her idol, Alexander the Great. Special design emphasis was placed on the location of this burial chamber, its treasure vault and its location within the palace complex. The next body
of research then moves to King Solomon’s Palace in Jerusalem and from there
follows the adventures of the Knights Templar through France, to the Port of
LaRochelle where a purported Knight Templar treasure set sail to its final
destination. Could these intrigueing bits of history be linked? To our knowledge there is no visual record of Cleopatra's palace, its configuration or its exact location. If we should discover that this film work ( based on extensive research), but undoubtedly laced with intuitive jumps in logic, could in some small way assist in bringing attention and support to the real archeology, that indeed would be a most delightful accomplishment. Are the drawings we possess simply movie myth or is there a thread of intuitive logic based on years of research that may parallel and support the work of the archeologists? Recent archeological work in the Harbor of Alexandria is directed toward the discovery of the legendary palace of ALEXANDER THE GREAT. This palace was conceived and created by Alexander and built by the Ptolemy the Great as he took command of that portion of Alexander's empire. It was later the abode of the legendary Queen CLEOPATRA. |
